What happens while a batch reads

Cards land out of order while a batch reads, and the tab has to stay open until it finishes.

Auto Identify is the part of My Card Wizard that reads each scan. It names the card, checks it against our catalog and finds its market price.

The batch opens when you press Create batch under Your cards. On Add cards the button is Start scanning. A panel counts the cards scanned and the cards priced.

When the cards are read and most have a price, the panel loads the pictures at the top of the batch. Then it shows the cards, and the other pictures load while you work.

Cards do not arrive in order, because several are read at once.

Keep this tab open until your cards are scanned. The reading happens in this browser.

The panel shows about how long is left.

Press Stop scanning to end a batch early. Cards already scanned stay saved, and each card not scanned is listed without using a scan.

If one card cannot be read, the batch goes on without it. That card shows its file name, the reason and Try again.

Try again sends the same file again. After a reload the tab no longer has the file, so add it to the batch again.

If the card reader is down for three cards in a row, the batch stops and says how many cards it saved.

In a card game batch, we skip a scan of a card back, and it does not use a scan.

In a card game batch of fronts and backs, a card whose front is a card back is read from its other side.
