Description templates
The listing body can be the description we write, your own words, or your own HTML.
The description is the body of the listing. You set it once on Templates and pricing and every card uses it.
The three modes
Pick one of three modes from the Where the words come from menu.
- Built-in is the description we write. It gives the card name, then one line per fact the card has, then the condition and how it ships.
- My own text takes your own plain wording, with the same tokens the titles use.
- My own HTML takes your own markup, for a shop that wants its own layout or its own terms.
A finish or a stamp you tick on a card shows up in that card's description too, in all three modes.
The preview draws what you wrote, so what you see there is what a buyer sees.
We strip out scripts and anything else eBay would reject, whatever mode you use.
