Photo Rewards
You earn scans when one of your scans fills a gap in our catalog.
Next to every card you scan we show a catalog photo. Those come from public card databases, and there are cards none of them has a photo of. Photo Rewards is how those gaps get filled.
It is off until you turn on Share catalog photos, on Photo Rewards. Nothing changes about how your cards are read or priced.
When a scan is wanted
- No catalog we use has a photo of the card. Korean cards, most sports parallels and plenty of new sets are in that spot.
- You told us the card has a finish, like a Reverse Holo, that no catalog has a photo of.
- We take only the first scan of a printing, so we skip a card somebody has already covered.
- We never take a card that needs review, because we would be filing the scan under a name we are not sure of.
Most cards meet none of those, so this fills up slowly. That is it working, not a fault.
A scan we can use
- Show the whole card, straight on. On a phone, put it on a plain background.
- Use enough light that the collector number is readable.
- Keep everything else out of the scan. We refuse hands, faces, screens and shipping labels.
A person looks at every one, which usually takes a few days. An accepted scan earns you scans, which never expire.
What is shared
- An accepted scan becomes the catalog photo, and we label it as coming from another seller.
- We never show your name, your account or your prices beside it.
- Every other scan of yours stays yours alone.
Opting out withdraws every scan still waiting. Contact us and a person will take an accepted one out.
